Joyce has drawn and painted ever since she was a child showing both a liking and aptitude for transferring visual landscape images to paper or canvas. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1966 and continued to draw and paint but did not make it her career. Once she retired she has made it a force and focus in her life particularly enjoying the spectacular scenery in Powell River and the qathet region.
Her work can be seen at Artique, Paperworks, and the Tug-Guhm Gallery in Lund in the form of cards, prints, magnets, watercolours, and acrylics. Currently she has a showing at Powell River Public Library called “Powell River Through My Eyes”. The work will be on display there until January 2027.
