Robbie was born in Port Dalhousie, Ont, in 1946. In his early to late teens he was focused on going to the Olympics but after 1964 his focus shifted over time. Robbie has lived in Indiatlantic, Florida, Toronto, Montreal, Steveston, and Powell River. He has toured North America from Miami to Bay Commeau, from Halifax to Toffino, from Daytona to Los Angles, from Los Angles to Tuktoyaktuk and in between. He has seen all the great lakes, the Saguenay and St. Lawrence, the Alleghany and Blue Ridge Mountains, the Carrot Valley to the Black Rock Desert, the No.1 Hwy., from Lund to L.A’, the Rockies from Mommoth to Jasper. He’s seen the blue of Crater Lake and that same blue in a stream by New Aiyansh. He has been lucky.
