Lee Mackenzie describes herself as a self-taught artist. She began working in watercolours but soon became enchanted with acrylics and mixed media as well. When visitors come to her studio they often ask how many different artists’ work is on display. But it is all Lee’s work. She explores many styles, ideas, and subjects which only reflects her fascination with the world. Lee is currently working on two series – images in the Powell River Historic Townsite and impressionistic, loose and flowing floral work. Lee enjoys welcoming visitors to her in-home studio and gallery and is happy to discuss her work and her techniques.
The entrance to Lee’s studio is from the alley, behind the building.
