Lorna is a passionate painter dedicated to capturing the soul of the west coast through her often vibrant and sometimes moody acrylic artworks. With a keen eye for detail she blends various techniques, mediums, colours and textures to create pieces that reflect the dynamic beauty of nature. From sketches in plein air and utilizing photo references, Lorna’s layered approach on canvas or board brings seasonal scenes to life in an impressionistic style. Her creative exploration extends to abstract realms with gel prints, mono prints, scratchboard and encaustic work. Lorna is showing with a group of artists at Cranberry Hall during Studio Tour 2025 and her artwork can be viewed year round at Artique Gallery in Powell River.
