About the HOME Annual Group Art Exhibition
This year we are celebrating and exploring the concept of “home” and what that means to you.
As our society grows ever more complex, and more people on the edges of society find their options for finding and establishing a home limited or non-existent, it feels timely to revisit and reimagine the concept of HOME.
Home can and does encompass so many things to so many people.
What/where/who is HOME to you? Place, idea, person, thing, group…….
Why is a sense of home important to the human experience?
What is an idealized HOME?
What HOME do you wish for/dream of?
Is HOME a state of mind? A colour? A pet? A family member?
What does your home say about you and your values?
Can a car be a home? Should a car be a home? Can a forest and ocean be a home?
Share your hopes and dreams, beliefs and values, or fears and anxiety and contribute to a visual exploration of the idea of HOME and what it means to you.
This is an annual opportunity for art sales with 70% going to the artist and 30% going to qathet ART for ongoing work to support arts and culture in the region.
