Carmen’s family came to Canada from Europe as refugees in 1953. She was 4 years old.
The mystical landscape of the Sunshine coast influenced her artist’s eye early in life.
In the 1970s she escaped to upstate New York. The Woodstock artist community helped her grow and realize her potential as an artist.
Carmen’s paintings are changing prisms of environment, myth, and talismans of personal history.
She has shown and sold her work privately, in galleries, and other suitable settings.
Now in Powell River, B.C. Carmen has a “Rustic Shabby Chic” studio space where she can display and sell her ART!
For the 2025 Studio Tour there will be some “sweet” deals.
