Hannah Rennie is a textile artist and costume designer. Not Even the Friendzone is a creative outlet where she can focus on reusing items that would otherwise be considered trash to make wearable art for the dreamers, for photoshoots, and for costumes. Currently she is designing costumes for a community film project called Tales from the Greylands which is based out of the Cumberland Studio in Cumberland. The film is a post apocalyptic surrealist western based in a dystopian world where the ability to dream has been lost but somehow someone has found the backdoor into the dreamworld. This project invites daydreaming and pushing the boundaries of her creativity. Challenging herself to view objects as other than they are keeps her inspired and curious. Drawn to texture, feel, and story her process embraces play, experimentation, the colourful and the dark.
