qathet Art Council offers artists, cultural sectors and the general public, access to arts and culture opportunities in the qathet region, the traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation. Experiences include exhibitions, events, youth and senior specific programming, artist workshops, studio tours, projects, innovation and idea exchanges, strategic planning and infrastructure projects. qathet ART also manages the City of Powell River’s Community Arts and Culture Grants, intake April and September. The council is located and operates the qathet Art Centre, above the library.
Your annual membership helps to fulfill our mandate to support and advocate for diverse artistic and cultural activities and arts organizations in the qathet region, providing accessible art experiences, and offering art education programs to children, youth and adults. Your membership assists us in representing the community and helps artists thrive.

Through an additional application process a member can be a:
- Juror on the Community Arts and Culture Grants Committee
- Juror on the Art Centre Exhibition Selection Committee
- Teach or skill share at the qathet Art Centre Studio
- Volunteer as a gallery attendant, assist with projects and events
Membership Fee
Individual: $10 youth, $20 adult
Family: $30
Small Business, Group, Organization or Event, 10 members or less: $40
Large Business, Group, Organization or Event, more than 10 members: $75
