Helena is a watercolour artist who paints peaceful coastal landscapes, inspired by the quiet moments, shifting tides, and the sense of calm found along our shorelines. Her work focuses on capturing the peaceful moments in nature. Through her paintings, she hopes to offer viewers a moment of calm and connection to the coastal landscapes that surround us.
Working from her own photographs, the composition, texture, and atmosphere provide both reference and inspiration for her paintings. Her approach is both technical and intuitive, grounded in observation yet open to the expressive quality of watercolour. Her serene coastal landscapes reflect her deep connection to this beautiful place.
Alongside her original paintings, she transforms her art into cards, prints, postcards, stickers, cushions, and coasters, bringing a touch of the coastal landscape into everyday life.
Helena returned to painting during the pandemic, while working in home support, in search of a bit of calm and joy in her life. She began painting the local coastal landscape and found just that – and now hopes her work brings the same sense of peace and tranquility to others.
